Foursun Rewards / Case study
A rewards programme built for Foursun, an electrical-products brand — an Android app where a coupon scan becomes points and a reward, and an admin portal so the brand can run the whole programme itself.
Foursun makes and sells switches, lighting, MCBs, wires and cables through a trade network of electricians and retailers. The brief was a loyalty programme for that network that is simple to use on a phone, hard to cheat, and runs without a developer on call.
It had to feel like Foursun — its own colours, its own look — and the programme rules (points caps, which rewards are available, where they are sent) had to be something the brand could change itself.
Follow the journey — the screen keeps up. Screens show sample data.
Points the camera at the QR on a Foursun coupon. Location is checked once, at the scan, so a coupon counts once and for a real product.
Home shows available points, how far the next reward is, and any request already in progress, with a Scan button always within reach.
Activity lists every scan that earned points and every reward that used them, month by month, so the balance is never a mystery.
The catalogue shows what is ready to redeem now and how far away everything else is, so there is always a next target.
A reward page states the points needed, whether the member has enough, and the delivery address on file, to confirm before anything is spent.
My Redemptions shows every request with its status — requested, completed or cancelled — as the brand works through it on the admin side.
The member app, and the portal that runs it.
Android app with login, QR scanning, a points balance, activity history, a rewards catalogue, redemption requests, and profile, help and legal pages built in.
A web back office with an overview, redemptions, QR batches, retailer codes, the gift catalogue, members and reports, plus control of the product pictures on the app’s home screen.
QR batches are created in the portal, so new coupons don’t need a developer, and each one can be used only once.
A scan in a shop and a redemption approved in the office are the same system talking to itself.
A reward request survives a dropped connection or a closed app, and a retried tap can’t charge points twice. The member always ends up with one request and the right balance.
It’s checked once, at the moment of scanning, and explained on the screen. It supports validation and is never read in the background.
Points limits and expiring points are shown plainly, so nobody is surprised by the rules after the fact.
The app uses the brand’s navy and gold throughout, so it reads as Foursun’s programme and not a generic template.
The app has been built and tested on a real Android phone, from login and QR scanning to a reward request. Its launch is being confirmed with Foursun, so it isn’t on the Play Store yet and I won’t call it live until it is. The screens above use sample data.
I also built foursun.in — the brand’s website, with its product ranges, catalogues and a page for the rewards programme.
